Max Wright was an American actor.
His best known role was Willie Tanner, the husband of a middle-class family who finds an alien who crash-lands on Earth, in the 1980s sitcom ALF, which aired for four seasons on NBC.
Wright’s other television appearances include roles in episodes of Hart to Hart, WKRP in Cincinnati, Taxi, Benson, Cheers, Murder, She Wrote, Who’s the Boss?, Quantum Leap, Murphy Brown, Friends, Mad About You, and The Drew Carey Show.
Wright appeared in several films, including All That Jazz (with Roy Scheider), Reds (with Warren Beatty), The Sting II (with Jackie Gleason), Touch and Go (with Michael Keaton), The Shadow (with Alec Baldwin), A Midsummer Night's Dream (with Kevin Kline), and Snow Falling on Cedars (with Ethan Hawke).
Wright died June 26, 2019, in Hermosa Beach, California. He was 75.
