Meat Loaf was an American actor and singer.
Born Marvin Lee Aday, he left Texas for Los Angeles in 1967 to pursue a music career. He and his band toured with acts such as The Who and the Grateful Dead.
After appearing in the Los Angeles production of the musical Hair, he later also appeared in the Broadway production of the same play.
His breakout album was 1977's Bat Out of Hell, which eventually was followed by two more albums in the trilogy.
His film roles included The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fight Club.
On television, his list of credits included episodes of Elementary, Glee, Nash Bridges, Ghost Wars, South Park, The Outer Limits, and The Equalizer. He also appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2011.
Meat Loaf died January 20, 2022. He was 74.
