Michael J. Pollard was an American actor.

A classmate of Marilyn Monroe at the Actor's Studio, Pollard went on to enjoy a career that spanned seven decades.

He started out working in television and was one of the few actors to appear in both Lost in Space and Star Trek, and was also seen in Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Andy Griffith Show, The Lucy Show, Gunsmoke, Blossom, and Wings.

Pollard is most widely known for his role as C.W. Moss, the child-like garage mechanic turned get-away driver in the film Bonnie and Clyde (1967), for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

His popularity soared as a cult actor, appearing in films opposite Robert Redford in Little Fauss and Big Halsy (1970), as outlaw Billy the Kid in Dirty Little Billy (1972), in Roxanne (1987), Scrooged (1988), Tango and Cash (1989), and in Dick Tracy (1990).

Pollard died November 20, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. He was 80.
