Nancylee Myatt was a producer and writer who worked on plays and television series.

A card holding member of the Cherokee Nation and UC Irvine alum, Nancylee was at first a successful commercial actress and a Universal Studios Tour Guide.

She was also a prolific playwright who had many plays produced in Los Angeles, such as "Two on the Aisle for Murder," "Slumber Party," and "Wet Paint."

She landed her first writing job on Night Court after participating in the Warner Bros Writer’s Workshop. She wrote on its last two seasons and penned the series finale. She was the only woman on the writing staff of the groundbreaking political comedy The Powers That Be, where she gained a mentor in that series' legendary creator, Norman Lear.

Nancylee went on to write and produce The Five Mrs. Buchanans and Living Single, and won an NAACP Image Award for the latter. She also wrote extensively for several Disney Television Animation television series on ABC, including Recess, Lloyd in Space, and Teacher’s Pet, the latter of which earned her a Daytime Emmy Award in 2001. Nancylee sold multiple pilots in multiple seasons, including one for Dolly Parton’s Sandollar, and created the teen sitcom Social Studies. Nancylee also served as Co-EP/Showrunner for the first two seasons of South of Nowhere, where she led the series to two consecutive GLAAD Award noms for Outstanding Drama and a Teen Choice nom for Best Breakout Show.
