Norma Provencio Pichardo was the Executive Director, Television Academy Foundation.
Under Norma's oversight from 2010 to 2016, the Foundation expanded and deepened many of its programs and initiatives. The internship program grew to more than 50 interns per year, while the College Television Awards recognized over 100 college students annually. The Archive of American Television began its rebrand as The Interviews: an Oral History Project of the Television Academy Foundation, adding more than 100 new interviews to its library under Norma's tenure. In addition, Norma established the development department at the Foundation, increasing fundraising efforts, including online auctions that tripled in fundraising revenue year over year.
Norma's passion for non-profit work was unmatched. In addition to her work at the Foundation, she was an LA County Arts Commissioner and a huge advocate for the Girl Scouts of America, serving as a Board Member for a number of years.
Her impact on the Foundation, its staff and programs, serve as a testament to her character.
