Patsy Byrne was an English actress known for her work in such British television series as Watching and Blackadder as well as theater and feature films.

Born in Ashford, Kent, she studied drama at the Rose Buford School before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company.

She made her television debut in 1962 with a role in an adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, followed a year later by an adaptaion of Shakespeare's As You Like It. Her series, miniseries and telefilm credits in the years that followed included Z Cars, I, Claudius, The Devil's Crown, The Old Curiosity Shop, A Little Silver Trumpet, Miracles Take Longer, The Setbacks, Watching and David Copperfield.

On Blackadder, the Medieval-era comedy starring Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie and Rik Mayall, she played the role of Nursie in the show's second season.

Her feature film credits included The Ruling Class and Les Misérables.

Byrne died June 17, 2014, in London. She was 80.
