Paul Walker was an actor best known for the role of Brian O'Conner in the popular Fast and the Furious movie franchise.

The southern California native began appearing in commercials as a toddler, and continued to do so throughout his childhood. He went on to appear in such TV series as Highway to Heaven, Throb, Charles in Charge, Who's the Boss, The Boys Are Back and Touched by an Angel.

He made his movie debut in 1986 with a role in the horror spoof Monster in the Closet, followed by appearances in Meet the Deedles, Pleasantville, She's All That, Varsity Blues and The Skulls. His breakthrough came in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious, the first in a series filled with high-performance cars and nonstop action, including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast & Furious and Fast Five. Other features included Eight Below, Into the Blue and Takers.

In 2010, the avid marine biology aficionado appeared on the National Geographic Channel series Expedition Great White, in which he spent 11 days catching and tagging seven great white sharks off the coast of Mexico.

Walker died in an automobile accident, in which he was a passenger, on November 30, 2013, in Valencia, California. He was 40.

At the time of his passing he was working on Fast & Furious 7 and had two films due for release, Brick Mansions and Hours.
