Peggy Webber was an Emmy Award-nominated writer and actor who worked on television series and films. She created The Treasure of Literature, which received an Emmy Award nomination at the inaugural ceremony in 1949. Webber also created an early sitcom, Oh, Miss Tubbs, for the experimental TV station W6XAO in Los Angeles.

In addition to her work as a writer, Webber also acted in numerous television series. She can be seen on Dragnet, M Squad, and Dragnet 1967. Webber can also be heard on The Smurfs, The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show, as well as on Paddington Bear.

Webber also had a long career in film as an actor. She played Lady Macduff in Orson Welles' adaptation of "Macbeth." Webber also acted in the Alfred Hitchcock film "The Wrong Man" and played the lead role in "The Screaming Skull."
