Peter Cronkite was a voice actor best known for his work in the 2002 animated television movie Dennis the Menace: Cruise Control. He was also the grandson of renowned news anchor Walter Cronkite.

Dennis the Menace: Cruise Control, based on characters from the popular Dennis the Menace comic strip, found Dennis and his friends on a cruise ship coming to the rescue of a hypnotized princess. The movie premiered on Nickelodeon, replicating the look and feel of the earlier 1986 series. Cronkite voiced the title character and comedian Tom Arnold voiced Mr. Wilson.

Cronkite also lent his voice to five episodes of the animated television series Liberty's Kids: Est. 1776. The program followed the story of three reporters who worked for Benjamin Franklin during the American Revolutionary War. The series ran from 2002-2003 and featured Walter Cronkite as Franklin; it also included voice work by Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, Ben Stiller, Liam Neeson, Dustin Hoffman and Cronkite’s father, Chip Cronkite, among many others.

Cronkite died April 26, 2015, in Waterville, Maine. The reported cause was suicide. He was 22.
