Peter Hansen was an actor best known for his long-running role as Lee Baldwin on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital. Hansen played the character, who started out as an addiction counselor at the hospital, from 1965 to 2004. In 1979, he earned a supporting actor Daytime Emmy Award for his performance.

Hansen also appeared in many other series, including Public Defender, The Lone Ranger, Perry Mason, How to Marry a Millionaire, Maverick, Death Valley Days, The Untouchables, Petticoat Junction, Gomer Pyle: USMC, The Outer Limits, Lassie, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., How the West Was Won, The Golden Girls, Cagney & Lacey, Cheers, L.A. Law, Night Court, Growing Pains, Matlock and Coach.

Additionally, Hansen had roles in the films When Worlds Collide, The Savage, The War of the Roses, Dragonfly and The Ten Commandments.

Hansen died April 9, 2017, in Santa Clarita, California. He was 95.
