Peter S. Davis was an American producer.
He is best known for producing Highlander (1986) starring Christopher Lambert, and creating a franchise based on the century-hopping story that would grow to including four feature films, more than 140 episodes of television, an animated series, and multiple video games.
Davis began his career as a lawyer on Wall Street, launching his own firm before landing in Hollywood in the 1970s.
His first venture as an executive producer was on the film The Death Collector (1976), starring Joe Pesci. He went on to produce a number of other movies including Stunts (1977), Steel (1979), The Osterman Weekend (1983), and Cutting Class (1989), featuring a young Brad Pitt.
Davis died February 21, 2021, in Calabasas, California. He was 79.
