Philip McKeon was an American actor.

He was best known as Tommy Hyatt, the son of the titular character (played by Linda Lavin) on the 1976-1985 CBS sitcom Alice, which was the television adaptation of Martin Scorsese’s 1974 film Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.

While appearing on Alice, McKeon also had guest-starring roles on episodes of CHiPs, Fantasy Island, and The Love Boat. He appeared as himself on a number of variety, talk, and game shows, including The 36th Annual Golden Globes Awards, The Hollywood Squares, The Regis Philbin Show, The $10,000 Pyramid, and Biography.

McKeon’s most recent industry credit was as a co-producer on the 2005 psychological thriller film The Jacket (with Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley). The film lists George Clooney, Peter Guber and Steven Soderbergh among its producers.

McKeon worked for 10 years in the news department at Los Angeles radio station KFWB-AM. He then moved to Wimberly, Texas, where he spent the past several years hosting a local radio show.

McKeon died December 10, 2019, in Wimberly, Texas. He was 55.
