Richard L. Rawlings was an Emmy Award-nominated cinematographer who worked on television series. He was the director of photography on the first four seasons of Dynasty and later worked on several episodes of its sixth season. Rawlings was also the director of photography on the first three seasons of Gilligan's Island as well as the second season of Charlie's Angels and part of its third season.

His son was Emmy-nominated director of photography Richard M. Rawlings, Jr. Their careers overlapped in 1978-79 on ABC’s Charlie’s Angels, with each of them handling half of the 22 episodes that season.

Rawlings was also the director of photography on Don Siegel's adaptation of "The Killers."
