Robert Dix was an American actor.

Dix was the youngest son of actor Richard Dix, who received an Oscar nomination in the best picture Oscar winner Cimarron (1931).

Dix appeared in a number of small, uncredited film roles in 1955, with his role in the 1956 science fiction classic Forbidden Planet being his first major film appearance. He went on to appear in numerous low budget horror movies throughout the 1960s and into the early 1970s.

His last film credit was the 1973 James Bond film, Live and Let Die, in which Dix had a small, uncredited role after running into his old friend, Roger Moore, while in New Orleans.

His television work includes Richard Diamond, Private Detective, Highway Patrol, Mike Hammer, Death Valley Days, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, and Rawhide.

Dix died August 6, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona. He was 83.
