Ronald Frangipane was an American musician, composer, and musical arranger.

He was perhaps best known for contributing his keyboard talents to the feature films Barbarella (1968) and Midnight Cowboy (1969), as well as "Sugar, Sugar," the 1969 hit song by The Archies.

Frangipane began his career playing piano and harpsichord for the short-lived Broadway show, The Freaking Out of Stephanie Blake. He would go on compose and arrange music for films such as Ned Kelly (1970), The Holy Mountain (1973), It Happened in Hollywood (1973), Abduction (1975), and The Bell Jar (1979).

Frangipane also produced, arranged, and played on records for the likes of Grace Slick, Gene Simmons, Janis Ian, John Lennon, and Diana Ross.

In 1997, he became a professor of music at Monmouth University and received his Master's Degree from Goddard College in Vermont.

Frangipane died April 25, 2020, in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He was 75.
