Sammy Williams was an American actor.
He was best known for his role as Paul in the musical A Chorus Line, for which he won Broadway's 1976 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical.
Williams had never before played a speaking role on the stage. He later developed his professional experiences into a solo show, And the Winner Is, which he performed around the country.
After relocating from New York, he became a choreographer, director and actor in Los Angeles.
Williams died March 17, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. He was 69.
