Sander Vanocur was an American journalist and actor.

A prominent journalist who covered politics for television and print for forty years, Vanocur also hosted two television series on the History Channel: Movies in Time, and History's Business.

As an actor, Vanocur often portrayed newscasters. He appeared in the films Weapon of Mass Distraction (1997), Dave (1993), Raise the Titanic (1980), and The Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight (1971).

Vanocur graduated from Northwestern University and studied at the London School of Economics before serving for two years in the United States Army.

Vanocur died September 16, 2019, in Santa Barbara, California. He was 91.
