Scott Hylands was born in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1943, raised in Vancouver, B.C. and graduated from University (UBC) with a B.A in Theatre (honours) in 1964.
His acting career began in New York theater, and transitioned to multiple film and television roles.
He starred as Detective Kevin O'Brien in the CBS/CTV series Night Heat, the first Canadian original drama series to simultaneously air in the U.S.
