Sheila Bond was an actress best known for her 1953 Tony Award-winning performance in the Joshua Logan musical Wish You Were Here, which featured a swimming pool built into the center of the stage.

Bond also appeared in the theatrical productions Make Mine Manhattan, Street Scene, The Live Wire and Damn Yankees, as well as the films The Marrying Kind, The Spirit of St. Louis and Broadway Danny Rose.

Additionally, Bond had roles on the anthology television series The Plymouth Playhouse, Appointment with Adventure, Playhouse 90 and Texaco Star Theatre. She also appeared on The Colgate Comedy Hour, The Ed Sullivan Show and The Arthur Murray Party.

Bond died March 25, 2017, in New York City. She was 89.
