Siegfried Rauch was a German film and television actor.

During a career spanning over 60 years, Rauch appeared in several international film productions in the 1970s and had leading roles in numerous German television productions.

Rauch appeared in the 1970 Hollywood film Patton as Captain Steiger. In Le Mans (1971), Rauch played race car driver Erich Stahler, the rival of Steve McQueen's character. In Samuel Fuller's The Big Red One, Rauch played a German army sergeant, the counterpart of Lee Marvin's character, who experiences the same events as Marvin, but from a German perspective. Other Hollywood productions in which Rauch appeared were The Eagle Has Landed (1976) Escape to Athena (1979), and the 1983 television mini-series The Winds of War.

His most famous leading role on German 1970s television was Thomas Lieven in Es muss nicht immer Kaviar sein (It Can't Always Be Caviar), based on the spy fiction novel by Johannes Mario Simmel.

From 1999 to 2013, Rauch played Captain Paulsen in Das Traumschiff, one of the most-watched television series in Germany. He remained active in television until his death.

Rauch died March 11, 2018, in Untersochering, Bavaria, Germany. He was 85.
