Stuart Gordon was an American filmmaker, director, and screenwriter.
A theater major at the University of Wisconsin, Gordon is perhaps best known for being the co-creator of the franchise Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and for his big screen adaptations of multiple works from author H.P. Lovecraft.
In television, he contributed as producer, director, and writer on projects such as Masters of Horror, Kyle’s Law, Fear Itself, Daughter of Darkness, Bleacher Bums, E/R, and the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids series.
Gordon’s feature film projects include: Re-Animator (1985), From Beyond (1986), Body Snatchers (1993), The Dentist (1996), Space Truckers (1996), The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit (1998), Fortress (1992), King of the Ants (2003) and Edmond (2005).
Gordon died March 24, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. He was 72.
