Terrance Dicks was a British author, producer, and screenwriter.

One of the most prolific contributors to the sci-fi television series Doctor Who, Dicks had a long association with the BBC drama and wrote for the series between 1968 and 1983. He was also the show's script editor and producer for many years.

Dicks began his career writing for a soap opera called Crossroads and the 1960s version of The Avengers. He created, wrote, and was the script editor for the BBC sci-fi drama Moonbase 3, wrote for the series Space: 1999, as well as the miniseries Beau Geste.

As a script editor, he contributed to the miniseries Great Expectations, Goodbye Mr. Chips, and The Pickwick Papers.

Dicks died August 29, 2019, in Hampstead, London, England. He was 84.
