Tim Boyle was an American sound recording engineer and scoring mixer.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, Boyle taught recording arts at the University of Southern California and the Sundance Institute.

He went on to mix scores for over 300 projects including the films Critters (1986), Throw Momma From the Train (1987), Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), White Fang (1991), The Sandlot (1993), Starship Troopers (1997), Team America: World Police (2004), and television shows such as Home Improvement, Burke's Law, and 7th Heaven.

Throughout his career, Boyle worked with Quincy Jones, the Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton, Whitney Houston, and Tom Waits, and he served as the chief audio engineer on scoring stages at Paramount and Universal Studios.

Boyle died December 22nd, 2019, in Sherman Oaks, California. He was 71.
