Tino Insana was a performer and voice actor best known for his work voicing the character Uncle Ted in the children’s animated series Bobby’s World.

Insana was also an alum of the Chicago improv school Second City, where he befriended and appeared alongside performers John Candy, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Eugenie Ross-Leming and Betty Thomas.

The actor had a 25-year career as a voice actor, lending his voice to animated series including Spaceballs, Darkwing Duck, Barnyard, Camp Candy, Bubble Guppies, Pepper Ann, Teacher’s Pet, Buzz Lightyear, Aladdin and Goof Troop.

He also appeared on the live action series The Billy Crystal Comedy Hour, Night Court, Designing Women, Dream On, Mad About You, That’s Life and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Additionally, he had roles in the films Neighbors, Three Amigos, Who’s Harry Crumb? and Beverly Hills Cop III.

Insana died May 31, 2017, in Los Angeles. He was 69.
