Tom Lester was an American actor.

After earning chemistry and biology degrees from the University of Mississippi, Lester decided to pursue his dream of acting and made the move to Los Angeles.

He soon found himself cast as Eb Dawson on the television show Green Acres, appearing in nearly every episode during the show's six-season run.  He would also recur as Eb in multiple episodes of Petticoat Junction and The Beverly Hillbillies.

Lester went on to guest star in Marcus Welby, M.D., Love, American Style, Little House on the Prairie, Knight Rider, and Santa Barbara, as well as star in the films Benji (1974), Gordy (1994), and The Pistol: Birth of a Legend (1991).

Lester died April 20, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee.  He was 81.
