Tommy Kirk was an American actor.

Kirk was best known for his performances in films made by Walt Disney Studios such as Old Yeller, The Shaggy Dog, Swiss Family Robinson, The Absent-Minded Professor, and The Misadventures of Merlin Jones, as well as the beach-party films of the mid-1960s.

Kirk first appeared on television starring as sleuth Joe Hardy in a pair of Hardy Boys TV serials, "The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure" and "The Mystery of the Ghost Farm," offshoots of ABC's The Mickey Mouse Club that aired in 1956-57.

In 2006, Kirk was named a Disney Legend.

Kirk died September 28, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. he was 79.
