Trish Vradenburg was a writer best known for her work on the sitcoms Designing Women, Family Ties, Everything’s Relative and Kate & Allie.

She was also a leading advocate in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. In 2010, she and her husband George Vradenburg founded the organization UsAgainstAlzheimer’s.

Additionally, she penned a play, Surviving Grace, based on her experiences caring for her mother, who lived with the disease.

She also wrote for the New York Daily News, Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Ladies' Home Journal and Women's Day and she published the 1986 novel Liberated Lady.

Vradenburg died April 17, 2017, in Washington, D.C. She was 70.
