Warren Appleby was a Canadian special effects coordinator.

Two of Appleby’s earliest credits include television series based on American feature films: RoboCop (1994), and F/X: The Series (1996-98). Both series were produced in Canada.

Appleby’s work in American television includes the miniseries 11.22.63 (with James Franco), the Emmy-nominated series Hemlock Grove (with Famke Janssen), and DC Universe’s Titans.

His film resume includes Tommy Boy (with David Spade and Chris Farley), Mrs. Winterbourne (with Shirley MacLaine), Pushing Tin (with John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton), Get Rich or Die Tryin' (with 50 Cent and Viola Davis), Max Payne (with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis), and Repo Men (with Jude Law and Forest Whitaker).

Appleby was the special effects coordinator on The Shape of Water, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2018.

Appleby died July 18, 2019, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was 44.
