William Bronder was an actor best known for his role in the Rob Reiner film Stand by Me. He played Milo Pressman, the junkyard owner whose dog chases the movie’s main character Gordie off of his property.

He also appeared in the films Return to Me (directed by Bonnie Hunt and starring Minnie Driver and David Duchovny), as well as Flush, Cannery Row, Best Seller and Yes, Giorgio.

His work in television was more extensive, with roles on the series Marcus Welby, M.D., The Invisible Man, Barnaby Jones, Baretta, The Streets of San Francisco, Emergency!, Police Story, The Rockford Files, Quincy M.E., CHiPs, The Incredible Hulk, St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, The Jeffersons, MacGyver, Webster, Cagney & Lacey, Knots Landing and The Wonder Years.

Bronder died May 6, 2015, in Northridge, California. He was 84.
