William F. Nolan was an American author and actor.

Nolan wrote hundreds of stories in the science fiction, fantasy, horror, and crime fiction genres.

Nolan's fame was solidified with the publication of his novel Logan's Run, co-written by George Clayton Johnson, in 1967. The novel was made into a film in 1976 and later a television series in 1977.

Nolan died July 15, 2021 in Vancouver, Washington. He was 93.
