The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, who hosted the recent 2011 Primetime Emmy Engineering Awards at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California, tells an awesome, funny story here about how she landed the role of "Amy Fowler" on the ratings-topping CBS comedy.



After starring in the title role of popular 1990s sitcom Blossom, Bialik veered decisively off well-worn Hollywood paths and went on to earn a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of California at Los Angeles.
