University of Iowa student Scott Beck won mtvU's "Best Film on Campus" contest last year, landing a development deal with MTV Films and bragging rights for a lifetime. mtvU served as the Television Academy's media partner for the recent 2006 College Television Awards. |
The prevailing filmmaker will receive a trip to Los Angeles to attend the telecast and be honored during the ceremony.
Along with a multi-platform development deal with mtvU, the winner receives an opportunity to film a segment about the experience for broadcast on mtvU and at mtvU.com's "mtvU Über."
The competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate college students, 18 years of age and older, nationwide.
The SFA winner will be determined through online voting at mtvU.com and MTV.com – right alongside the other MTV Movie Awards nominees.
Deadline for entry is April 3, 2006. Visit the Student Filmmaker Award page at www.mtvU.com for further submission instructions, official rules and to download an application.
