Eddie Garrett, an actor who played a photographer in the Los Angeles coroner’s office opposite Jack Klugman on NBC’s Quincy, M.E., died May 13, 2010, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California, following a stroke. He was 82.
In addition to Quincy, Garrett appeared with Klugman on the popular sitcom The Odd Couple and had roles on such series as Ironside, Batman and Medical Center.
Garrett also appeared in such feature films as Looking for Mr. Goodbar and Dirty Harry.
In 2006, Garrett published I Saw Stars…In the ’40s and ’50s, a book of photographs he took of Hollywood celebrities in his youth, when he often spent time at the major movie studios.
Garrett is survived by his wife and two stepdaughters.
