Jim Huber, Award-Winning Sports Broadcaster

Huber, who was also a writer, worked for many years with CNN and TNT.

Jim Huber, a longtime sports broadcaster for CNN and TNT, died January 2, 2012. He was 67.

According to news reports, the cause was acute leukemia.

Huber, who primarily covered golf and NBA basketball, spent 27 years with TNT. Previously he was an anchor for the CNN/Sports Illustrated 24-hour news network.

He also wrote three books, including last year's Four Days in July, about golfer Tom Watson's pursuit of a British Open championship in 2009 at the age of 59.
