Marcia Adams, Cooking Expert and TV Host

She was known for her work as host of the nationally syndicated WBGU show Marcia Adams' Kitchen.

Marcia Adams, host of the nationally syndicated WBGU show Marcia Adams' Kitchen, died February 5, 2011, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was 75.

According to news reports, the cause was a heart attack.

Adams, who had a heart transplant in 2001, also produced two documentaries about her the procedure, Heart to Heart and Change of Heart.

In addition to being regard as an expert in Amish cooking, Adams wrote five cookbooks, including Cooking from Quilt Country: Hearty Recipes from Amish and Mennonite Kitchens, Marcia Adams’ Heirloom Recipes: Yesterday’s Favorites, Tomorrow’s Treasures and Recipes Remembered.

She is survived by her brother.
