Michael O'Hare, Babylon 5 Costar

O'Hare also appeared in several other series, miniseries and TV movies.

Michael O’Hare, an actor known for a costarring role in the science-fiction television series Babylon 5, died Friday, September 28, 2012. He was 60.

According to news reports, the cause was complications from a heart attack he suffered five days earlier.

O’Hare, who studied English at Harvard and acting at Juilliard, got his start on the stage. His Broadway credits included productions of Players, with Fred Gwynne, and Man and Superman, with Philip Bosco, and A Few Good Men.

For his performance in Shades of Brown, a play about South African apartheid, O'Hare was the first white actor nominated by the black theater community of New York for the Audelco Award for best actor.

In addition to Babylon 5, his numerous television credits included the 1976 miniseries The Adams Chronicles, as well as One Life to Live, T.J. Hooker, Kate & Allie, L.A. Law and Law & Order.
