ALEX TREBEK LEGACY FELLOWSHIPS
The Television Academy Foundation is proud to offer the Alex Trebek Legacy Fellowship to attend the Media Educators Conference. Named in honor of the late Alex Trebek, longtime host of the quiz show Jeopardy!, the Alex Trebek Legacy Fellowship covers costs including registration, travel and/or hotel accommodations for this year's conference. Preference will be given to attendees from minority-serving institutions and community colleges. Fellowship recipients must attend the entire conference. The Alex Trebek Legacy Fellowship has been made possible thanks to a generous gift from The Harry & Judy Friedman Family Foundation.
Note: Previous Alex Trebek Legacy Fellowship recipients are welcome to reapply.
Fellowship applications for 2026 are now open. Apply by September 15, 2026, at 5:00pm PT. Fellowship recipients will be notified prior to September 29, 2026.
Preference for Fellowship applicants:
Teach at a Minority Serving Institution (per US DOE's definition).
Teach at an institution that serves a large and diverse population of underrepresented students.
Teach at a community college.
Have not previously attended the Faculty Seminar or Media Educators Conference.
