Alan Bergman was an Emmy Award-winning lyricist who collaborated with his wife Marilyn on songs for television series, films, and stage musicals. He helped write the lyrics for the theme songs to Bracken’s World, Maude, Good Times, Alice, and Brooklyn Bridge. He also helped write the lyrics for songs that were featured in "Tootsie," "In the Heat of the Night," "The Way We Were," and "Yentl." He also worked on the musicals "Ballroom" and "Something More!"
