Luke Perry was an American actor.
Perry was born in Mansfield, Ohio. He moved to Los Angeles shortly after high school to pursue acting.
Perry's earliest roles were in the daytime soap operas Loving, and Another World.
In 1990, Perry won the role of Dylan McKay on Fox's teen drama, Beverly Hills 90210, a role he played from 1990-95 and again from 1998-2000.
While starring on 90210, Perry won a supporting role in the original film version of Joss Whedon's Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
His post-90210 work includes appearances on episodes of Oz, Will & Grace, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds, Leverage, Community, Major Crimes, and Hot in Cleveland. From 2016-2019, Perry played Fred Andrews on the CW Network’s series Riverdale.
In 2018, Perry filmed a role in Quentin Tarantino’s Charles Manson movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, scheduled for release in July 2019.
Perry died March 4, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. He was 52.
