Anthony Santa Croce, Producer of USA Series Monk, Passes

Santa Croce's other credits included Carnivale, Felicity and Tales from the Darkside.

Anthony Santa Croce, producer of the USA series Monk, died December 11, 2010, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was 63.

According to news reports, the cause of death was a heart attack.

Santa Croce’s early work in the entertainment industry included stints as a stuntman and sound mixer.

In the 1980s, after graduating from the American Film Institute, he began working as a unit production manager and line producer.

Over a span of more than three decades, he produced Monk as well as the HBO drama Carnivale, pilots including those for The Twilight Zone remake and Felicity, as well as series including The War Next Door, Profiler and Tales From the Darkside.

His feature credits included Tremors 3 and You Can't Hurry Love.

Survivors include his fiancée, Kathryn Pankratz; two sons; two brothers; and a sister.
