Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller joined Television Academy chair Cris Abrego for the announcement.

Beloved performers and hit shows — along with exciting new series and up-and-coming talent — were recognized during the announcement of the 78th Emmy Awards.

On July 8, Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) and Jeff Hiller (Somebody Somewhere) joined Television Academy chair Cris Abrego from the Wolf Theatre in the Academy’s Saban Media Center. Nominees in nine key categories were announced at the live ceremony. (Find the complete list of Emmy nominees here.)

“This year has been defined by bold storytelling, creative ambition and unforgettable performances that have connected with audiences here at home and around the world,” Abrego noted. “Today’s nominations honor the artists and craftspeople whose work rose to the top this year. Their creativity and talent remind us why television remains one of our most powerful art forms. And while these nominations recognize individual achievement, they also celebrate the collaborative spirit that defines our industry.”
