Bates won her second Emmy for her role as Madame Delphine LaLaurie in American Horror Story: Coven, the third season of the popular FX anthology series, and appeared as Ethel Darling in American Horror Story: Freak Show.
She won an Academy Award and Golden Globe for her performance as Annie Wilkes in the feature film Misery and played the role of the Queen of Hearts in Syfy miniseries Alice.
